Show your brand some love

Having a brand is much like being in a longterm relationship. You’ve got to work at it, nurture it and keep it fresh.

Sure, when you’re busy and have had a hard day, the work seems tiring and it’s easy to be tempted by a shiny new brand that’s animating in all the right places.

But, before you turn your back on your current brand, thinking the grass is greener, maybe this Valentine’s Day, pour yourself a glass of wine, sit down with your brand, and show it some love and attention. After all, it’s been good to you over the years and helped you get to where you are today.

Your brand is much more than just the logo. There’ll be a lot of brand loyalty from your audience that’s tied up in your current brand. Simply rebranding risks alienating the people who already love what you do. It’s important to look at all the different aspects of your brand to see where your issues are. Sometimes simple adjustments are all you need to strengthen your brand, bringing the magic back and getting it ready for next stage of your relationship.

Is your logo feeling self-conscious?

Maybe its style is dated or it might not be available in the formats of your desires. Rather than designing a completely new logo, sometimes simply redrawing your current one and giving it a little nip and tuck, can be all you need to give it a whole new lease of life.

Has your marketing become stale and routine?

Spice things up by showing your face on some new social media platforms or advertise in new areas.

Experiment, have fun.

Is your brand looking tired?

Pamper it by freshening up your colour palette. You’d be surprised at how much that can boost a mood.

Have your changed?

We all grow and change with age, maybe your offering or values have as well. Have you told your audience that? Communication is key in a relationship. Keep whispering sweet nothings into your audience’s ears.
